The Watson hosts a monthly open mic where musicians gather to perform in a safe, non-competitive environment. These are all ages shows with performers ranging from very young to more experienced. The bar is open for Open Mics but carries non- alcoholic beverages as an option.
Open Mic is held September - June on the first Friday of every month. (some exceptions to the calendar are made)
The Mission of the Open Mic series is
To open the door to up-and-coming local entertainers of all ages and abilities, providing them with a stage to advance their craft.
In partnership with Wormhole MicroTheatre, The Watson hosts occasional spoken word open mics.The focus here is not on music, but on prose. A variety of formats is encouraged.
Admission is $5, those that participate as a performer are exempt from the admission fee.
