    February 4 and 25th, 2012 ~ Dauphin Pottery Club Workshop ~ Intermediate Wheel Throwing Workshop with Jeff Bettle. From 10am to 4pm. Location: Dauphin Pottery and Ceramics Club located at the Watson Art Centre Rear Entrance.  Cost is $75 and includes supplies. Can be paid at the Watson Art Centre Office (between noon and 5 pm Mon-Fri).  Space is limited – register by January 31, 2012.  Contact Forouzandeh Kasrai at 638-5927

    For those who want to catch up, continue work on projects started in our prior workshop sessions, or work independently on a new project.  Instructor Ben Davis will be there to provide guidance as needed.  Due to Firehall roof repairs, workshops will be held at the MASONIC TEMPLE, 522 Main Street North, Dauphin.  Our Instructor is Ben Davis, Sessional Instructor in the Fine Arts Dept at Brandon University.     March 6 and 20, 2012 ~ Zendoodling ~ 7pm - 9pm
    Looking for a fun creative way to unwind and re-energize?  Zendoodling is a relaxing method of creating beautiful images from repetitive patterns.  If you can write your name, you can Zendoodle, its as simple as that!  Easy to learn - no drawing skills needed - you'll be Zendoodling lovely art in no time! Join us in this meditative, peaceful, artistic process - by the end of the workshop you'll have a unique piece of personal art ready to hang on your wall.  Warning:  Zendoodling is addictive!  This is a 2-evening class.  Registration is $21 for DDAAC members and $25 for non-members.  Supplies are provided at a cost of $30 (with frame) or $15 (without frame).  Space is limited so register early - call us at (204) 638-6231 or email us at info@watsonartcentre.com.

    March 14, 2012 ~ Prairie Girl Canvas Mixed Media Workshop - back by popular demand! ~7pm start
    Can't draw, don't know how to paint?  No problem, no artistic talent is required to take this mixed media workshop with instructor Jenna Alexander.  Learn mixed media techniques to create your own personal Prairie Girl canvas.  A sample is on display at the Watson Art Centre office.  Registration is $21 for DDAAC members and $25 for non-members.  Supplies provided at a cost of $20 and includes materials that can be used outside the workshop to continue to work on your own Prairie Girl canvas.  Workshop will be held in the WAC Old Fire Hall.  Space is limited so register early ~ call us at 638-6231 or email us at info@watsonartcentre.com.


    March 17 & 18, 2012 ~ Dauphin Art Group Workshop ~ Hands ~ 9am to 4pm each day
    Centering participants’ own hands as subject matter, the workshop will initially involve drawing from observation before moving on to less conventional modes of working including but not limited to ink drawings rendered using fingerprints. Exploring value, texture and pattern, participants will develop character studies of their hands that incorporate the unique identity their fingerprints represent.  Due to Firehall roof repairs, workshops will be held at the MASONIC TEMPLE, 522 Main Street North, Dauphin.  Our Instructor is Ben Davis, Sessional Instructor in the Fine Arts Dept at Brandon University.
